How I work
The habits that make architecture hold up after the slide deck.
- 01Decisions first. Every significant choice is an ADR that names the options, the trade-offs and the consequences.
- 02Licence-clean by design. Permissive licences only, checked in CI, with any exception recorded and justified.
- 03Evidence over claims. Static checks and live results are reported separately. Every live result is a dated receipt, and nothing is "done" until a tester signs it off.
- 04Zero-trust defaults. Default-deny networking, verified identity on every hop, least privilege everywhere.
- 05AI-assisted delivery, human-governed.
- An AI architect writes the architecture and work orders and reviews every change.
- An AI implementer codes one work order at a time.
- I own the product, set the quality targets and sign off.
- No agent approves its own work.
- 06Frameworks I practise: TOGAF ADM, C4, DDD, ISO/IEC 25010 quality characteristics, and PCI DSS 4.0.
